米ノースカロライナで誕生したSwitchPoint（スイッチポイント）を日本で初めて開催します。8月28－30日に開かれる第7回アフリカ開発会議（TICAD 7）に合わせて、世界で最も大きな人道問題の一つ、そして最もイノベーションが進む「アフリカのヘルスケア」をテーマに選び、参加型のネットワーク・イベントを開きます。

SwitchPoint は、インテラクティブなイベントです。

日本で初めてのSwitchPoint は、“交差点”が世界に知られる渋谷で開催。

世界中のイノベーターが集まり、最先端の創造を生み出すスタジオEDGEof（エッジ・オブ）を舞台に、アフリカのヘルスケア（保健医療）の現在と未来を考え、世界を変えるきっかけを作ります。
アフリカの若手活動家、起業家、イノベーターを通じてヘルスケアの現場で起こっていることを知り、アフリカ発の技術や未来への想いを参加者と共有します。アフリカと日本の新進気鋭アーティストによるパフォーマンスもご期待ください。

SwitchPoint Shibuya is a globally curated event created in a partnership between IntraHealth International, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and the Japan Center for International Exchange focused on inventive approaches to solving health challenges in Africa. The event will feature talks and performances, interactive microlabs, and a networking reception.

The conference will take place on August 31st at state-of-the-art creative incubator EDGEof in the heart of Shibuya, Tokyo. Join makers, artists, activists, storytellers, tech entrepreneurs, and humanitarian and global health innovators to discuss and demonstrate the latest discoveries, tools, and collaborations driving public health progress in Africa.

As an international organization, the Global Fund mobilizes and invests more than US$4 billion a year to support programs run by local experts in more than 100 countries. In partnership with governments, civil society, technical agencies, the private sector and people affected by the diseases, we are challenging barriers and embracing innovation.
